11.7.10 Accomplishments...

Sunday RD is very rare for me...so we made the most out of it...at least for Jake's attire and BM measurement taking for their gowns...:) Happiness coz things went according to plan...:)

Our deal with Mang Rey Casedo pushed through...we were in search of a quality barong for Jake in a reasonable price. And since all of his GMs will be wearing barong, we both wanted his' to be different and recognizable among others. For these requirements, Mang Rey is just the man!:)

Mang Rey dropped by our place and took Jake's measurements...paid DP...voila! Next week, Jake's pants and barong will be delivered to us...:)

After Mang Rey left, we prepared to meet my dear BMs so their measurements be taken as well...we opted to have it made by my gown-maker as well, my mom will be taking care of the little girls gowns.:)

11.7.10 went swiftly as we have accomplished the things we were set out to do...little details are still in my to-do list...praying i'd be able to finish 'em on time.:)

Moving on with the preps...

It has been weeks since I stopped prepping for the wedding..."petics mode" as we call it. While others are crunching on their to-do lists, here I am, blogging, playing Cafe World, and taking all the time in the world in choosing pictures for the Guestbook and waiting for h2b to complete his entourage so I could pass the list to our Invites Supplier...

Yes, we already have booked our Invites Supplier last October 15 at Kasalan 2010 in Megamall. We got Printrade Society Printers. I intended to do it myself but I have been too lazy to do things lately, not to mention my printer is not cooperating so we decided on getting a supplier for our invites. Jake wanted it simple, I wanted it embossed, we both don't wanna spend too much on it...Printrade answered our requirements.:) We got a really nice deal with them.

I spent my Tuesday with the partials.:)

Left home at 10:30 am to get our Birth Certificates and CENOMAR. It was already past 11am when I arrived at NSO, but I was done at 12:15pm. Maybe it was due to Typhoon Juan that there were only a few who went to NSO. Gone through the long process despite the NSO service that SM Service Center is offering, btw, SMSC is just on the lower floor of where I am working.:)

@1pm I was at CTK to get the request for Marriage Banns for publication. Done by 2:30pm. It took me longer because Mother Lily had to double check on my Parish Church.

Traveled all the way from Greenmeadows to Ermita to complete the 50% DP to our P/V, Vignette. Chose to do the payment personally despite the fact that Vignette has BDO account which is just a few tumblings away from where I am working.:)

Weird that I had to do it the long and tiring way, nevertheless, I enjoyed this day.:) Felt like a real hands-on bride-to-be.:) This, however, could have been more enjoyable if Jake had joined me, but work comes first...to pay for the bills.hehehe!:)

60 more days to go...:)

Canonical done!!!

Another church requirement, done!:)  This morning Jake and I went to CTK and met up with Apple and Ryan to have our canonical interview with the priest...it was just so sad that Che and Dave weren't with us.  This made Apple and me act like "super-lady-like"...We were not ourselves...hahaha!:)

Priest:  Mukhang wala na talagang atrasan yan huh, magkaholding hands pa talaga kayo!:)  Wag bibitiw!:)
J&J:  Wala na po talaga.:)
Jake:  Panay pasulong na po ngayon.:)

Introduction yan...:)

Btw, Jake managed to take some photographs as a souvenir.:)

Up next, Precana seminar in September.:)  2 days of chikahan galore, coz Dave and Che are going to be with us.:)

Btw, we concluded that amongst Jake, Ryan and Dave, Dave is the most sociable of all...nyahaha!:)

My Wedding Shoes...Sandals...whatever...hahaha!:)

Walking down the aisle and having to wear a high-heel shoe all throughout the wedding could be painful...:p  Especially now that I'm using flats at work,  slippers when going out with friends...good luck talaga.:)

Good thing, I found this fab-gold-sandals (fab for my feet coz it fits perfectly)...and what's best?  I bought it for only Php 650.00...where?  Divilandia, the famous temptation island.:)

To bind us as one...take two!:p

Isang di mapakaling b2b here...:)  I had our cord done several months ago...but due to paulit-ulit na balik to the temptation island...kung anu anong materials na naman ang nakita ko and I decided to redo it a bit.:)  Glad that I was able to incorporate the butterfly thing in it...:)  So happy with the outcome.:)

By the way, the picture below is the first cord I ever made...

The next picture naman is the new one...:)

LOVE IT!!!:)

Preps Venue...Check!!!

Our search for the preps venue has finally ended...after doing several hotel visits, we ended up booking the one I originally wanted.  Wedding preps will take place at Astoria Plaza in Ortigas Center.:)

Budget was a big factor since most of the hotels that are known to be beautiful are pricey.  I actually thought we wouldn't be able to afford Astoria Plaza...I don't have plans of spending 20k+++ just for a hotel room.  I first had a glimpse of Astoria's rooms during my BFF, Jovie's bridal shower.  I loved it...:)

A big thanks to fellow w@wies for the info regarding asiatravel.com hotel bookings.  I sooooo love this group...huge savings for us on this one.:)

Attached are some pics I got of Astoria Plaza:

The tower...:)

Entrance

This is the chair/couch...whatever you call it...that I'm dreaming to have.:)  Jake jokingly told me to have a seat kasi pangarap ko daw 'tong chair na 'to...:p

the sala...:)  kasya lahat.:)

ibang anggulo naman...:)

sana ito un mabigay na room samin...hahaha!:)  motif!:)

I know Apple would love to have this room.:)

As of July 21st, preps venue...big check!!!:)

The Symbol of Our Love and Loyalty...

It was a very long day...for me (lol!)...:)  But the sun and the rain didn't stop me and Jake from going to places we were scheduled to go...

First stop...Suarez Wedding Rings in Gateway Mall...I left home with a super sunny weather...as in super init...when I got to Gateway, heavy rain poured naman...but it was happiness, nonetheless, when I saw our rings, tried it on agad...hahaha!:)  It was, I think the simplest and least expensive model in Suarez, but I soooo love it...I felt like I have a sexy finger when I tried it on (lol!).

Went to National Bookstore Araneta Branch after, to get the 25th Anniversary Concert Tickets of The Company...Then off to Megamall I went to pick up Jake.:)  Together we went to PAGIBIG office in Makati then went back to Megamall to have snack at Sbarro...Actually we went there to take picture of our wedding ring on a Sbarro plate...it was Jake's idea...Sbarro in Megamall daw kasi is where we had our first date (kilig!!!)  hahaha!  May ganung factor...anyways, eto na un oh!!!

It's Officially Official...:)

Date:  May 16, 2010
Location:  Sa Dampa Namin..:)

Now, I have my own share of pamanhikan.  Dati nakikibasa lang ako ng sharings mga fellow w@w sistahs ko.  Last Sunday, I had my first hand experience.  Our families were excited and everyone didn't know what to do...:)  They've known kasi the typical pamanhikan wherein dun pa lang pag-uusapan un wedding plans.  But ours was different kasi.  Our preps started last year pa.  All the bookings have been made.  So it was just merely a formal meeting of our parents and families.

They brought Caldereta, Suman, Maja, Pansit and of course, di mawawala ang Kalamay na di ko natikman, pamahiin daw para maging malagkit ang pagsasama.:)  I didn't get to eat much.  I felt like busog na busog ako kahit I didn't grab any breakfast.

Jake's tito stood as the Padre de Pamilya and did most of the talking and gave advices.  "Unawaan at pagbibigayan" were the most talked about advice.  Si Jake naman nun magkausap kaming 2, jokingly told me, "Sabi nila sundin ng babae ang lalaki..."  Haller!  parang nun wedding nila Jovie ko narinig un hindi kina Papa at Tito....hahaha!:)  adik lang.

Here are some pics Jake took...wala kaming 2 sa picture kasi sya un photog...hahaha!  Hope we could get those na nasa cam ni Tita Lourdes soon...:)

Another special thing happened on the night of pamanhikan...:)

Thanks Olee for allowing me to use the picture you took...
